Welcome - KHS Youth Apprenticeship students - Three students will be joining us for a short part of the school day. Thank you for welcoming them and introducing yourself should you see new faces.
- Max will be joining Mrs. Greenthal, Mrs. Dorow & a little lunch help.
- Blake will be joining Mrs. Englebert, Miss Jurek & a little lunch help.
- Madison will be joining Mr. Theder from 2:00-3:00 at Haen & Tanner.

Family Events - We have two events planned for family engagement this fall. Please mark your calendars!
- Sept. 18 - Let's Play @ Lafollette Park! (5:30-6:30)
- Oct. 23 - Fall Fest (5:00-6:00)
- Staff are required to attend Fall Fest
- This event will be our costume night for students, no costumes on Halloween while at school.
- Candy/trinkets outside and a visit to all classrooms/MAPEL areas
Share Your Purpose (Role Model):
Research tells us that students thrive when they can connect their learning to a deeper purpose. Questions like, “Why do we have to learn this?” or, “Why do we even have to come to school?” reflect their need for purpose. 1 way that we can get kids thinking about purpose is to share our own! Find a few minutes this week to share with your students why you became an educator, what you love about your work, and what you hope to accomplish this year. Consider taking it a step further and posting your purpose in your classroom as a year-long reminder!
~For ALL the extra hands we have had in during lunch. The process is coming along...slowly, but we are getting there. The extra help would be helpful this week as well. 😉~Spec. Ed. & Pupil Services for your flexibility supporting in a variety of classrooms ALL week. This will definitely need to continue this week as we work through the discovered needs throughout the building. Team effort!!~Classroom teachers for filling out your dismissal sheet each day! This has been super helpful for the main office to reference as we account for all students at pick-up and bus lines.
