Our two Foundational Questions -
What type of teacher do you want to be?
What type of relationship do you want with your teammates?
Penny War - We will be a part of a Civic Engagement project this fall. There will be a Penny War during Homecoming week, Sept. 30-Oct. 4. Money raised will provide Valley Transit bus passes for a community member in need of public transportation. More details to come from the KHS students.
Science Supplies - Do you have what you need for Sunlight and Warmth materials?? If not please reference Michelle's email from 9/9 and use both tabs at the bottom of the spreadsheet. We hope to you have kits soon. 🤞
Respect Rewards (Recognize)
Incentivize the class to catch each other practicing Respect. If the students can point out their peers practicing Respect at least 5 times this week, offer them a prize that you agree on together, like a few extra minutes of playtime, a fun read-aloud, or some kind of tasty treat.
~Kristin, Kayla, Sarah for leading the assembly in my absence.~Brooke W. for working so quickly with IT to help with the gym sound issues.~For following the lounge clean-up schedule - it feels good walking into a clean and organized space. :)~Beth for creating our word clouds.~Michelle for taking in a lot of info about our future with aimsweb+...more details to come!~Jennifer & RuthAnn for welcoming volunteers and lunch guests.~EAs for your patience with the key situation...and your creative solutions for the hallway lunch transitions.~ALL for adjusting schedules for the safety week drills. You do an excellent job making this experience age appropriate and non-scary for your kiddos.
