Parent/Teacher Conferences - Our sign-up will be sent on Nov. 4th. If necessary, please begin working with any specialists to pre-schedule any conferences that may require more time or extra people in attendance. KASD Principals Visiting ~Nov. 6 - KASD Principals will be visiting Tanner on Nov. 6. I will be creating a schedule for us to complete a 15 minute observation focusing on Standard 3 - Instructional Delivery. Please let me know if you would be willing to welcome our team. We will likely have 2-3 Principals in 4 different classrooms. These observations are for Principal calibration and will help us grow as a team. Thank you for considering this!
Learning Walks ~Nov. 11- Universal Classroom Practice #3 will be a focus for our Nov. 11th Learning Walk. Learning Walks will include building coaches and district administrators. There will also be a schedule developed for you to observe peers (core teachers and specialists) - coming soon. We will reflect on these observations at the November staff meeting. This work connects to our Safe & Healthy Schools continuous improvement work and our continued work on Collective Efficacy.

Responsibility Role Model (Recognize)
Every day this week celebrate 1 student who was the Responsibility Role Model. Celebrate them to the whole class or give them praise in private. Recognition that is effective is timely, genuine, and specific. It involves noticing when students use learned skills to practice Responsibility and acknowledging them for their effort to model or improve. Bonus: Challenge the student you recognized to try to notice someone else practicing Responsibility and give their own compliment!
