Morning Supervision Walkies - Additional radios have been purchased to increase AM safety. Any staff without a radio can grab one from the back of the library on your supervision days. Thank you for returning it after your duty is complete. I will give everyone a short tutorial on radio usage and etiquette at Monday Morning Mingle time.
KHS Students - I'm loving the growth of our partnership with KHS this year! We will have even more KHS students in the building this week. Mrs. Moseng is planning to have her students here on Thursday, Nov. 14th and Wednesday, Nov. 20th. I'm hoping to find out a few more details soon and will keep you posted. Classroom teachers...please tentatively plan to host a student from 7:50-9:30.
Health Office - Please send a reminder to families to have an extra set of clothes in students' backpacks. If they still have clothes in backpacks it might be a good time of year to refresh the set. Some of the sets are a bit 'summery' and even a little too small now...these kiddos grow so fast!
Conference Sign-ups - The sign-up will close Wednesday afternoon. Final copies of your schedules will be in your mailbox by the end of the week. Please try to connect with any families that have not signed up.
Staff Meeting - Our focus this week will be on your peer observations of UCPs and feedback from the district Learning Walk (which is happening Monday morning). Please come prepared with 3 things you noticed, 2 things you wonder about, 1 thing you want to try. I will brief you on the Gallup results as well. No staff meeting planned for Dec., besides PD day. 😎 Thank you!
Reminders...
Food Drive...one of my favorite district events! - Our KHS NHS ;) will be holding the annual District-Wide Food Drive Competition this month. All collected items will be donated to our local Loaves and Fishes Food Pantry. This will run 11/4-11/26 with pick-up on 12/2. You will have a box outside of your classroom for collections.
Fundraiser pick-up - This Thursday from 3:00-6:00 will be our pick-up times for the fall fundraiser. Please consider adding this to your family communications this week. The extra effort would be appreciated as it is SO important that people pick these orders up...the freezer space in the building is limited. 😀
Very Grateful Visuals (Remind)
Print off the Emotion Elements poster or create a space where students can see emotion words in 1 place. When transitioning into a new activity or coming out of something like lunch or recess, ask a few student volunteers to share 1 emotion they have been feeling that day and 1 thing they are Grateful for.
