Congrats Savannah, John and Noah! - We said "good-bye" to Miss Lenius on Thursday.  We are excited to welcome Mrs. VanGrinsven back this week.  Congratulations, we hope you had a beautiful wedding day and celebration!

Appleton East - On behalf of our Tanner school staff, I will be dropping cookies and a variety of drinks off at Appleton East on Monday.  Ryland had a special connection to both of our school communities.  The sadness of his loss is being felt by many and this is just a small gesture to let them know our thoughts are with them through this difficult time they are going through as well.

Bus Ride to Service - Kobussen has donated a bus for the Kautz family to use in any way they would like.  They would like to offer you a ride to the service, should you want to attend.  Those of us wanting to utilize this option would load the bus at 4:00, from Tanner, and be dropped off at the door of the funeral home.  At the conclusion of the service, we would ride back together as well.  Please fill out this document if you are interested in using this great option.

Food Drive...one of my favorite district events! - Our KHS NHS ;) will be holding the annual District-Wide Food Drive Competition this month.  All collected items will be donated to our local Loaves and Fishes Food Pantry.  This will run 11/4-11/26 with pick-up on 12/2.  You will have a box outside of your classroom for collections.

Fundraiser pick-up - This Thursday from 3:00-6:00 will be our pick-up times for the fall fundraiser.  Please consider adding this to your family communications this week.  The extra effort would be appreciated as it is SO important that people pick these orders up...the freezer space in the building is limited.  😀

Balloons Over Tanner - Nov. 22! - We will be adjusting the schedule a bit for our 11/22 early dismissal.  This schedule allows all classrooms to have 30 min of MAPEL time.  It also gives a little time at the end of the day to prep and hold our Balloons Over Broadway event prior to dismissal.  Please review the DRAFT schedule and let me know of any glaring issues.
8:00 - Conger/Englebert
8:30 - Boucher/Heim/Gloudeman
9:00 - Hamilton/Torrey
9:30 - Dorow/Jurek/Newton
10:00 - Neumann/Fitzgerald/Nelson
11:00 - Balloons over Tanner
11:20 - Dismissal procedures begin
*recess plans TBD

Conference Meal Preferences - Please click here to provide feedback and/or new ideas for PT Conference meals.  Our Tanner PAC will review the feedback and provide meals during the evening sessions.  We appreciate them so much!

2 Categories (Role Model)

Each morning this week, ask your class for 1) a number between 1-5 and 2) a category (like colors, animals, senses, people, places). Then, role model the practice of Gratitude by naming the given number of items related to that category that you are Grateful for and share why. For example, if the class said, “3, People!” you would then share 3 people you are Grateful for and why.

~Molly for working with St. Paul home to organize a visit with their therapy dog - Bella!  This visit did bring smiles and joy to many.

~MAPEL team for adjusting locations for classes when needed.

~ALL for supporting one another through a very difficult week.  This week will be emotional as well.  Please reach out if you feel there is support needed for yourself and/or others.  I'm grateful for all of you!
