Teddy Bear Clinic - Draft Schedule: Beth has created this draft schedule for Feb. 24th Teddy Bear Clinic with our KHS HOSA - Future Health Professionals group. Like last year, we scheduled 20 minutes for each 5K classroom.
Feb. 12th - Family Night @ Kaukauna Public Library: We look forward to having our families at KPL again this year. This is a great opportunity for them to see the facility, get a library card and promote reading! Thank you, Janet for planning this event!
Peer observations: Great start on this document! Thank you for signing up to observe a colleague for our March PD day. (Yes...lots of time, but it will go by fast:))
Carrie Bartel - Now that the data is in, we can get started on some reading intervention adjustments. Moving forward, Carrie will be joining us for the full day vs. 80%. Michelle and Carrie have worked on a schedule that is very student focused. This required some of you to adjust schedules...thank you!
REMINDERS:
PTO - Feb. 24 - This is a date that I am currently monitoring for PTO use. Please connect with me if you have any questions.
Summer School 2025 - Please consider being a part of our Summer School experiences. Students enjoy seeing teachers they are familiar with. You are all a very important part of making SS successful. 😊 Interested? Complete this interest form. Thank you!
100th Day Challenge - Like last year, we will challenge our entire building to make 100 positive contacts with families. Preferably, this is a phone call, but email, notes, TP messages work too. The chart will be posted in the lounge. Our goal would be to complete this chart by the end of February.
Follow Through on Feedback (Review)🥪
Choose 2-3 students to provide “Sandwich Feedback” to this week – the bread starts and ends with positives, while the middle is the feedback. Start with voicing high expectations and high beliefs in the student. Then, give feedback about how to best use Perseverance skills in class. Finally, end by stating a positive quality you like about the student. It might sound like this, “I expect all students to stick with problems in this class even when they are hard, and I believe in you to Persevere when something is challenging. I want you to try this problem again and see if you get a new answer.”
